01 / HOW IT WORKS
  1. 01

    Capture

Play your vocal and hit Capture, or load an audio file. XIVocal records the phrase and shows it as a waveform.

  2. 02

    Shape

Set the length, reverb and output for a reverse reverb, or the repeats, spacing and gap for a stutter. Check the result in the waveform.

  3. 03

    Drop it in

Drag the waveform into your playlist. On Reverse it ends exactly where your vocal starts, so it builds straight into the line.

02 / THE PLUGIN

These are real screenshots of the plugin. Each tab does one job well.

01 / REVERSE

Reverse reverb

Capture a vocal phrase and XIVocal reverses it and adds reverb, building a reverse reverb that ends right where your vocal starts. Perfect for the lead-in to a drop or a transition.

  • Length, Reverb and Output controls
  • Auto De-ess tames harsh sibilants
  • Phone, Chorus and Tremolo switches
  • Drag the waveform onto the playlist so it ends where the vocal starts
02 / STUTTER

Stutter

Pick a slice of your vocal, repeat it, then let the word flow on. Drag the slice edges to choose exactly which sound gets repeated, from a tight roll to a more broken-up pattern.

  • 1 to 6 repeats
  • Spacing from Tight through 1/32, 1/16T, 1/16, 1/8T and 1/8
  • Gap control in milliseconds
  • L/R panning and Telephone switches
  • Drag the lower waveform into the playlist, it ends at the last repeat
03 / TELEPHONE

Telephone

Give a vocal a focused, old-telephone sound with an editable frequency curve. Drag the points to shape the tone, then switch the effect on or off with one big button.

  • Six draggable points from 20 Hz to 10 kHz
  • Starts from the Old Telephone preset, with Save and Reset
  • Double-click a point to reset it
  • No capture needed, it works on the whole vocal while your song plays
04 / TAPE

Tape stop

Make a vocal wind down and stop like a tape machine being switched off. Click the waveform to choose where the tape stops, then set how long the slow-down lasts.

  • Click or drag the waveform to place the stop
  • Stop Time control sets the length of the slow-down
  • Shows the total length: your vocal plus the tape stop
  • Drag the amber bar into the playlist
05 / MIX

Mix

A full mixing chain for your vocal in one panel. Shape the tone with the seven-band EQ, then add compression, de-essing, delay, reverb and multiband processing.

  • Seven EQ bands, from Sub to Treble, that you drag on the curve
  • Six effects: EQ, Compressor, De-esser, Delay, Reverb and Multiband
  • Click an effect to open it, use its light to switch it on or off, and drag to reorder
  • Presets with Save and Reset, and double-click any knob to reset it
